Easy Slow Cooker Smothered Chicken

Ingredients:
8 ounces sliced mushrooms (fresh or canned – if using canned, be sure to drain)
1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup (or make homemade condensed cream of chicken soup)
1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup – (or make homemade condensed cream of mushroom soup)
1 packet (1 ounce) Lipton Onion Soup Mix or store brand (or make homemade dry onion soup mix)
2 to 2 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts

Instructions:
First step is Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place chicken breasts in a single layer in cooker and season with pepper. In a bowl, mix condensed soups, onion soup mix, mushrooms and water. Mix well. Pour mixture evenly over chicken. Cook on high for 4 to 5 hours or on low for 7 to 8 hours. Be sure to adjust cooking times according to how fast/slow your cooker cooks.
And then, When ready, shred chicken using two forks. Serve chicken with the gravy over mashed potatoes, rice or egg noodles with your favorite vegetable (steamed broccoli, green beans) and a salad. Enjoy!
